Welcome to McDonald Physical Therapy & Sports Rehabilitation Center | ||||||||
| People of all ages should have the opportunity to move freely and to function without pain. At McDonald Physical Therapy & Sports Rehab Center our physical therapy teams focus on helping people discover how to lead lives with less pain. The professional staff at MPT share their expertise in how the body moves. They also help prevent loss of function and teach processes to prevent injuries. Physical therapy restores physical function by reducing physical limitations. Physical therapists help patients maintain health by rehabilitating old injuries and preventing future problems. Therapists teach patients to make environmental and personal adaptations that enable people to function more independently. Physical therapists work with patients by teaching them exercises to help recover from surgery or an injury. Manipulation, massage, ultrasound, electrical stimulation, hot packs, and cold packs are some of the treatment techniques a therapist may incorporate. Another area of focus for the therapist is to teach the patients activities they can incorporate to help in their own recovery. | |
