Physical Therapy Assistants

After you are evaluated by a physical therapist, you can be treated by a highly-qualified physical therapy assistant.  The treatment program implemented by your physical therapist will be carried out and monitored by the physical therapist assistant. Working with your physical therapist, your physical therapy assistant will also teach you exercises you can perform at home throughout therapy that will assist in you recovery.

Physical Therapy Assistants will also design a home exercise program for you to continue after you have completed your therapy program in order to maintain your condition. Your therapist keeps in contact with your physician, nurse case manager, or employer representative by written and verbal communication to ensure that you receive the highest level of care.
